The two parents won’t see eye to eye on the current situation. Sure, Bones was nothing to do with Nathan Fillion, but it was a big show around the same time as Fillion’s Castle. It almost seems fitting that Deschanel will guest star in this role considering her part on Bones. We get to meet Nolan’s ex-wife for the first time in the series, and she’ll be played by Emily Deschanel. Emily Deschanel guest stars on The Rookie Season 3, Episode 12 There are some big decisions to make, and it doesn’t look like Nolan and his ex-wife are on the same page. However, that doesn’t stop us from being concerned.
A lot of cop dramas don’t put that line in, making it all about the job, and that’s where The Rookie is differing in a good way. I love that we see Grey tell Nolan that family comes first. Grey turning up at the hospital to support him. One thing we’ll get to see is all of Nolan’s colleagues and even Sgt. Nolan will get his son to the hospital, but Henry isn’t out of the woods yet. During the previous episode, he collapsed at the very end and it looks like it’s something to do with his heart. The Rookie took a week off last week for the Oscars, leaving us with plenty of questions about Henry’s fate.
